This special site next-door to Kronos Vineyard offers a kind of radiant generosity that borders on the religious. All you can do is close your eyes and hold on.

Planted in the 1950s by André Tchelistcheff, maybe the most celebrated figure in American wine, the Sunbasket Vineyard is a modest-seeming plot only a stone’s throw from Cathy’s barn off Highway 29. Compared to her more tight-fisted Kronos Cabernet Sauvignon, Sunbasket is lush and inviting, it’s wild currant and lilac flavors crystallized by 2016’s unusually chilly nights.
