Located in the Eola-Amity Hills, Breaker Vineyard is what Grant and Renée see when they wake up every morning. Planted in 1972 on its own roots with cuttings from Dick Erath, the vineyard was farmed by Rich Zielinski for four decades. Now it’s Grant and Renée’s turn. It’s a privilege they take seriously, farming the rocky site organically, coaxing just about a ton of fruit per acre (very little). Grant and Renée love amphorae for the nuance and purity they provide, and a portion of this wine goes into a 500-liter one as whole bunches and is left alone for 19 days. 14% alcohol.
