Mirabai Pinot Noir - 2018

The 2018 introduces a new label drawn by Kelley’s younger daughter, who grew up near Maresh Vineyard, and has assisted in its farming for 20 years. During harvest Jim Maresh Sr., the vineyard’s owner, would memorably bestow $5 bills to her and her sister for their role as the vineyard’s “wine orphans.” The rest of the fruit that goes into Mirabai is sourced from Weber Vineyard, another iconic site in the Red Hills of Dundee. Even though Kelley doesn’t own the vineyards she sources her fruit from, she farms all of her blocks by hand, and with rare passion and skill. This vintage is 30% whole-cluster and was aged in neutral French oak from Burgundy. Dundee Hills AVA. 13.5% alcohol.
