Production Notes

An inspired blend of 77% Valdiguié and 23% Pinot Noir. Previously mistaken for Gamay grapes, the Valdiguié was grown in Redwood Valley while the Pinot Noir grew in the historic Enz Vineyard which is one of the oldest vineyards in California. The Pinot Noir was made like a typical red wine while the Valdiguié was pressed whole-cluster. After aging in neutral French oak barrels, the Pinot Noir and Valdiguié were transferred separately to stainless steel before meeting for the first time during the blending process. Bottled with 23 g/l liqueur de tirage and no dosage. 7 barrels produced. 11.9% abv.

Stranger Than Paradise Sparkling Passetoutgrain - 2019
Like a handful of sun-drenched cherries (pits magically removed). Frisky as Lambrusco, classy as Champagne.
