As with their Vermentino, Ryan and Megan source this Pinot Noir from Las Brisas Vineyard, located along the cool, western edge of Carneros. The vineyard represents an exciting opportunity with its assortment of old heritage clones and stewardship by Francis Mahoney, a legendary grower who has been working with Pinot Noir in the region since the late 1960s. 2017 was a spectacular growing season in Carneros, and Ryan and Megan were fortunate in having harvesting just before the record heat spikes of Labor Day weekend, which complicated an otherwise perfect vintage for many growers. 13.1% alcohol.
