Brisk lemony flavors play like intricate night-time shadows over an ocean that’s as smooth as macadamia milk.

Located 800 above sea level in the Chehalem Mountains, La Belle Promenade is a rocky, cool site — about as high up as vineyards go in the Willamette Valley. Arabella and Blair divided the juice between two French oak barrels (one is once-used, the other is neutral) to ferment and age for 10 months on its lees (the dead yeast cells that can provide texture).
